Burn registrations
Last updated:
When residents register a burn in your area, you see it in your registrations list, with the burner's contact details so you can respond. Registering is not permission: whether a resident may burn is always the live status.
What each state means
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Planned | Registered for a day that is still ahead. |
| Presumed burning | The day has come and the resident has not said otherwise. Treat it as a likely burn. |
| Checked in | The resident confirmed they started, at a moment when burning was allowed. |
| Not burning | The resident said they are not burning that day. |
| Cancelled | Withdrawn by the resident, or cancelled by your agency. |
| Burn is out | The resident reported the fire is out. |
A burn registered for a day when burning then closes stays in your list, flagged as a possible burn during a closure. The resident gets a courtesy "do not burn" message where we can send one.
You can decide whether residents must check in before a burn counts, or whether check-in is optional.
Find a burn
Filter the list by day, zone and state, or search by registration number, address or name. Open a burn for its details: where, when, the terms the resident accepted and their answers.
Cancel a registration
- Open the burn and choose Cancel.
- Enter the reason. It is required.
- Confirm. The resident is told, with your reason.
Export
Export the list, with your filters, as a spreadsheet file. Exports include contact details: store them securely.
Who sees what
You see the identity and contact details of burns in your area only. The public never sees individual burns or identities.
